High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Justin Holiday (at SA – $5,600): Needs 23 fantasy points. If LaVine doesn’t end up playing, it’s only going to boost the value of Holiday. He’s proven that he can step up with more minutes and he can do a bit of everything. Also, the Spurs are a good matchup. They’ve been playing better, but they still have defensive issues. Even if LaVine was in the lineup, I’d still like Holiday. But with LaVine out, Holiday should be well over value. Diagnosis: Good matchup and great circumstances.

Jaylen Brown (at DET – $5,400): Needs 22.2 fantasy points. Brown struggled against the Hawks on Friday and finished with just 15/2 fantasy points. Don’t be too concerned with that. He’s been very good since coming off the bench and the Celtics didn’t really need him against the Hawks. He’ll be better against this matchup. He can be a big boom or bust player, but I trust him to boom on Saturday. Diagnosis: Trust him to bounce back.

Josh Hart (at CHA – $5,000): Needs 20.6 fantasy points. Hart had 23.9 fantasy points against the Rockets on Dec. 13. He’s getting plenty of minutes right now, which helps his overall value. He also gets his shots and plays hard, which allows him to boost numbers in other categories. The Hornets are on a back-to-back and Hart’s energy will probably have a big impact on this game. Diagnosis: Good salary and feels like a game with Hart chips in with scoring and defense.
