High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

TJ Warren (vs MIN – $6,500): Needs 26.8 fantasy points. Warren has been over 30 fantasy points in his last two games. And with Trevor Ariza probably not playing after a wild Friday night that saw him traded and then not traded — Ariza might end up being traded by the time you read this — Warren will continue to get minutes and opportunities. His value is largely tied to his scoring, which is a bit of an issue. Diagnosis: Will get the opportunities and has a good ceiling.

Gordon Hayward (at DET – $5,900): Needs 24.4 fantasy points. Hayward only played 18 minutes against the Hawks on Friday, but still managed 27.7 fantasy points. The minutes have been all over the place as the Celtics blow teams out, but he should get plenty of minutes in this game as the Pistons will keep it competitive. He’s at a good salary given how well he’s played since moving to the bench. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Lance Stephenson (at CHA – $3,700): Needs 15.3 fantasy points. Remember when Lance played for the Hornets? Lance seems to remember, because he always plays well against the Hornets. He averaged 27.5 fantasy points in four games against Charlotte last season. He’s Lance Stephenson, so I can understand if you don’t want to take him, but he’s a low-cost option who could get extra run in a blowout. And he just likes this matchup. Diagnosis: It’s Lance. But it’s a Lance revenge game.
