High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

John Wall (vs LAL – $9,200): Needs 42.3 fantasy points. Wall had 40.75 fantasy points against the Nets on Dec. 14, a disappointing number given the matchup. My guess is that Ariza won’t play, but if he does, that should help Wall out in multiple ways. The Lakers are on a back-to-back, but they were able to rest guys in a blowout. Wall typically brings it against LeBron, which is why I like him in this matchup. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling. As the Wizards might be shorthanded, he’ll have to do more.

De’Aaron Fox (at DAL – $7,600): Needs 35 fantasy points. Fox has been a bit up-and-down in recent games. He was up against the Warriors, finishing with 48.5 fantasy points on Dec. 14. The Mavericks are a good team at home, so this matchup is tougher than it might seem after the way Dallas played against the Suns. But Fox has been strong this season and has definitely made the leap. Diagnosis: Good salary, reliable, good ceiling.

Jamal Murray (vs TOR – $6,300): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. Murray has been inconsistent this season and the matchup is tough as Raptors are one of the better defensive teams in the league. But Murray had 39.25 fantasy points against them on Dec. 3 if you’re looking for some confidence in him. The minutes and opportunities are always there for him if nothing else. Diagnosis: I like him at this salary. He should do enough to be around value.
