FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 16, 2018
High Salary SF
Players costing over $6,667
LeBron James (at WAS – $11,500): Needs 47.5 fantasy points. LeBron had 54.9 fantasy points in 30 minutes against the Hornets on Saturday. And now he gets the Wizards defense. Not only does he typically play well against the Wizards because he likes to shut them up, he has extra motivation after the Wizards landed Ariza over the Lakers. Expect an angry LeBron looking to make a statement. Diagnosis: It’s LeBron and it’s a personal grudge match for LeBron. Love him.
Kawhi Leonard (at DEN – $10,100): Needs 41.7 fantasy points. Leonard returned to the lineup on Dec. 14 and finished with 41.2 fantasy point against the Blazers. You more or less know what you’re getting with Kawhi. He’s a reliable option with a high ceiling. He’ll need to step up in this game because the Nuggets are a tough matchup and if Lowry doesn’t play, he’s the top option. Trust him to do so. Diagnosis: Reliable if nothing else. But expect more.
Josh Richardson (at NO – $6,200): Needs 25.6 fantasy points. Richardson comes in under the salary line, but there are so many injuries or questionable players that he’s the highest salaried player who is guaranteed to play. He had 36.5 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Dec. 14, which is a good sign given the matchup. He has been struggling prior to that. With the injuries to the Miami guards, Richardson needs to step up once again. The matchup is good. Diagnosis: Good matchup and circumstances. Should give you at least value.
