FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 16, 2018
High Value PF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Domantas Sabonis (vs NY – $6,500): Needs 27.7 fantasy points. Sabonis had 36.2 fantasy points against the Sixers on Dec. 14. With Thaddeus Young playing so well, Sabonis has taken more of a backseat. But when the minutes are there, the production is there. The minutes should be there against the Knicks because it’s the Knicks. If you think this one gets ugly, going with Sabonic over Young is the recommended play. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable. And Knicks.
Kelly Olynyk (at NO – $5,500): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. Whiteside is back in the lineup and that’s going to mess up the Miami frontcourt rotation. But Olynyk continues to do well and had 35.5 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Dec. 14. He can do a bit of everything and the matchup is good on Sunday as the Pelicans struggle defensively and with their second unit. Even in limited minutes, Olynyk should be able to do enough to at least hit value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (vs ATL – $5,500): Needs 23.4 fantasy points. Hollis-Jefferson has been up-and-down in his last handful of game. He was up against the Wizards, finishing with 35.8 fantasy points. If the trend holds, he’ll be down in this one. Expect the trend to break because it’s the Hawks. Hollis-Jefferson continues to get big minutes and he can do a bit of everything. And again, it’s the Hawks. Diagnosis: Opportunities and minutes will be there. Trust the matchup.
