High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

James Harden (vs UTA – $10,900): Needs 49.6 fantasy points. Harden followed up his 86.5 fantasy point game against the Lakers with 69.5 fantasy points against the Grizzlies. The Jazz have bothered him all season and I admittedly don’t have a great read on either team right now. We know the chances will be there for Harden, which is always good news. The matchup is tough, but Harden is feeling it right now and maybe he’s fully turned the corner. Diagnosis: It’s James Harden. He’s always a high ceiling player.

Eric Bledsoe (at DET – $7,600): Needs 34.6 fantasy points. This is Bledsoe’s matchup. He had 45.25 fantasy points against the Pistons on Dec. 5. In his last four games against the Pistons, he’s averaging 40.1 fantasy points in 29.3 minutes. He just seems to thrive against the Pistons and part of that has to do with their poor perimeter defense. Trust him to deliver. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a high ceiling.

Klay Thompson (vs MEM – $6,400): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. Klay had 46.75 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 14. You sort of know what you’re getting with Klay. The shots are going to be there. If he’s knocking them down, then he has a high ceiling. He chipped in with rebounding and assists against the Kings, but don’t expect that every night. This feels like a big night for Klay because the Grizzlies will do their best to corral the other two All-Stars. Diagnosis: Typically reliable with a high ceiling. Sort of a gut feeling pick.
