High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Brook Lopez (at DET – $5,600): Needs 25.2 fantasy points. Lopez has settled in nicely and has been over 30 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He had 27.9 fantasy points against the Pistons on Dec. 5. The shots will continue to be there for him and he’s got a relatively high ceiling. If nothing else he’s a reliable option who is going to get the minutes to produce. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Kevon Looney (vs MEM – $4,300): Needs 19.4 fantasy points. Looney gets minutes and plays next to four All-Stars, which never hurts. He had 24.1 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 14 and 20.3 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Nov. 5. Just due to his minutes and the talent around him, he’s bound to stumble on to some solid numbers. Nothing spectacular, but at least reliable at this salary. Diagnosis: Reliable.

Nene (vs UTA – $3,600): Needs 16.2 fantasy points. The rest of the center options are rather weak, but Nene should at least get some playing time. He played 14 minutes against the Jazz on Dec. 6 and finished with 18.8 fantasy points. That’s something. He always turned in some solid regular season performances against them last season. Don’t expect much, but if you want to punt, he’s available. Diagnosis: An option.
