FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 17, 2018
High Value SG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Buddy Hield (at MIN – $6,400): Needs 26.4 fantasy points. Hield continues to play well and was at 34.8 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Sunday. He had 28.9 fantasy points against the Timberwolves on Dec. 12, which shows that he’s at least reliable. The Kings are on a back-to-back, which makes this matchup a little tougher for them, but he’s hot right now and I’ll trust him until he shows signs of cooling off. Diagnosis: High ceiling and red hot.
Andrew Wiggins (vs SAC – $6,300): Needs 26 fantasy points. Wiggins has settled in to where he’s become a reliable option. He typically plays well against the Kings, going over 30 fantasy points against them in his last three games. That includes a 30.9 fantasy point effort against them on Dec. 12. The opportunities are always there for him, which helps. And the Kings are on a back-to-back, so maybe they have some tired legs. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Dennis Schroder (vs CHI – $5,900): Needs 24.3 fantasy points. Schroder has been under 20 fantasy points in his last two games. It’s concerning, but now he gets to face the Bulls. And it’s not a lack of opportunities for Schroder as the shots are still there for him. He just hasn’t made much in the last two games. But it’s the Bulls and the Thunder are at home, where they’ve been very good this season. There’s reason to believe Schroder will bounce back on Monday. Diagnosis: Expect a better performance out of him. Like Westbrook, you can’t keep a good scorer down forever.
