Players costing $6,250 or under

Monte Morris (vs DAL – $4,700): Needs 21.4 fantasy points. I’m still unsure how Morris remains at this salary given how well he’s been playing and how many minutes he typically gets. He had 28 fantasy points against the Raptors on Dec. 16. There’s no reason to doubt Morris right now. He’s been excellent and the matchup is solid, although the Mavericks are better at home. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Tomas Satoransky (at ATL – $4,300): Needs 19.6 fantasy points. Satoransky had 29 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 26. He’s drawing the start, but his minutes are all over the place. The good news is that the Wizards are playing the Hawks. It should lead to a strong night from Satoransky. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a great matchup. Trust the matchup and save some money.

Cory Joseph (vs CLE – $4,200): Needs 19.3 fantasy points. Joseph has been reliable in recent games and the minutes continue to be there. The matchup is good because the Cavaliers are bad. Joseph might see some extra run in what could be a blowout. He does a bit of everything and I would expect him to deliver solid all-around numbers in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling given the matchup.
