LOS ANGELES, CA – OCTOBER 09: Denver Nuggets Center Nikola Jokic (15) looks on before a NBA preseason game between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers on October 9, 2018 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, CA. /

High Salary C

Players costing over $6,667

Nikola Jokic (vs DAL – $11,100): Needs 50.2 fantasy points. With Millsap out of the lineup, you sort of know what you’re getting with Jokic. He has a high ceiling and he’s fairly reliable just because Plumlee isn’t going to get those shots or opportunities that Millsap would typically get. The matchup is tough, but Jokic will get his points and do a bit of everything. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.

Myles Turner (vs CLE – $7,500): Needs 33.9 fantasy points. After a 17 fantasy point performance against the Sixers on Dec. 14, Turner was back up to 36.7 fantasy points against the Knicks on Dec. 16. And now he gets the Cavaliers. Turner should have no issue getting points in this one. He’ll also cheap in with rebounds and a handful of defensive plays. Diagnosis: Great matchup, reliable, good ceiling.

DeAndre Jordan (at DEN – $7,000): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. Jordan was up to 49.1 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 16. It was a nice reminder of what he can do with his rebounding, but we haven’t seen it often enough this year. And the Nuggets are a tough matchup. He’s at a good salary, which is about the only good news for him on Tuesday. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but inconsistent.
