High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Dewayne Dedmon (vs WAS – $6,600): Needs 29.8 fantasy points. Dedmon posted 48.9 fantasy points against the Nets on Dec. 16. He has big scoring potential and typically gets the rebounds that Collins is unable to grab. The Wizards are a good matchup as they are weak on the interior and are just the Wizards. He can be inconsistent, but he does get plenty of minutes on most nights. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a great matchup.

Jarrett Allen (vs LAL – $6,000): Needs 27.1 fantasy points. Allen was down to 20.8 fantasy points against the Hawks on Dec. 16. And he played only 15 minutes. That’s concerning. His minutes are inconsistent right now, which makes it tough to trust him. If his minutes were guaranteed, I’d love him because it’s another good matchup. But he’s been too inconsistent over this stretch. Diagnosis: Inconsistent with a high ceiling.

Thomas Bryant (at ATL – $4,600): Needs 20.8 fantasy points. Bryant had 33.2 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 16. And he had 34.3 fantasy points against the Hawks on Dec. 5. His minutes and play are inconsistent, but the Wizards need someone to occupy the center minutes and Bryant is the guy. And it’s the Hawks. If you’re looking for a punt option, Bryant is a strong option. Diagnosis: A solid punt option.
