Phillip Lindsay, Denver Broncos

FANTASY POINTS: 215

For a guy who wasn’t even drafted, Phillip Lindsay has done one heck of a job as the Broncos premier back. Royce Freeman was supposed to be that guy. Lindsay can’t even be found on Madden 19. This is an amazing story that is reminiscent of the movie Invincible. Hometown kid gets picked up by his hometown team and makes serious play making contributions.

Lindsay has averaged roughly 18 fantasy points per game this season. Which is amazing if you think about how hard he had to work to even earn the bulk of the carries for the Broncos. Week 15 he gets a shot at redemption playing against the Raiders 26th-ranked defense. Oakland has surrendered 146 rushing yards per game to opposing backs this season.

This matchup bodes well with Lindsay who will be looking for redemption after barely managing 50 yards from scrimmage in Week 15. We can expect him to make big contributions to your Championship team. He has a great bounceback rate. Week 3 he posted two fantasy points against the Baltimore Ravens then rebounded to 16 the following week against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Also, Week 3 is the only other week that Lindsay didn’t manage double-digit fantasy points. Start Lindsay this week in your championship game. He will chew up that Raiders defense on Monday Night Football. That game could play heavy Championship dividends for both squads. Both defenses are ranked in the bottom half of the NFL this season.

Prediction: 100 rushing yards, 50 receiving yards, 2 total touchdowns.
