Buffalo Bills QB Josh Allen

Buffalo Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen has carried the rock at least nine times in each of his past four games, and while he was suffocated for just 16 rushing yards in Week 15 against the Detroit Lions, Allen managed to score his sixth rushing touchdown of the season to help boost his fantasy football numbers.

Allen has been a real asset for fantasy owners lately, scoring at least 13.5 fantasy points on the ground in each of his previous three games prior to Week 15. He’s also thrown for at least 200 passing yards in each of his last three, avoiding an interception against the Lions last week in what was a relatively clean game.

For the most part, Allen will throw his interceptions and still has more picks than passing touchdowns this season (a not-so-nice ratio of 6:9), but he more than makes up for it in fantasy with his big plays to Robert Foster and his rushing ability.

This week, Allen will take on the New England Patriots, where his rushing ability could be a major key, Bill Belichick gets plenty of credit for scheming against offenses and taking away their best option, but the Patriots defense really hasn’t earned high praise with an uneven 2018 season. The best way to beat them is by making big plays, so Allen has an opportunity to make a name for himself in Week 16, with his rushing ability being an X-Factor.
