High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Kyrie Irving (vs PHO – $9,100): Needs 42 fantasy points. Kyrie has kept up his hot streak, going over 45 fantasy points in his last three games. The Suns would seem like an easy matchup, but they always play well against the Celtics thanks in large part to Devin Booker (we’ll get to him later). So, with this game likely being competitive, Kyrie will have a big opportunity to put up big scoring numbers to go along with his rebounds and assists. Diagnosis: Great matchup and high ceiling. If you’re not as confident in this being close as I am, then you may stay away due to the blowout.

Kemba Walker (vs CLE – $8,400): Needs 38.8 fantasy points. Kemba had a rough night against the Lakers, somehow managing just 8.25 fantasy points. That won’t happen again and works to your favor as his salary has dropped in a big way. He gets the Cavaliers on a back-to-back. Maybe Kemba couldn’t deliver against LeBron, but he’ll deliver against LeBron’s old team. A blowout is possible, which is the only real concern. Diagnosis: Even in a blowout, he should get you at least value.

Eric Bledsoe (vs NO – $7,600): Needs 34.8 fantasy points. Bledsoe has been over 38 fantasy points in three of his last four games. He’s been inconsistent this season, but he’s shown a high ceiling and I love the matchup on Wednesday. The Pelicans defense offers little resistance and they are shorthanded a couple of key rotation players. Bledsoe should rack up points and assists in this one. Diagnosis: Good matchup and high ceiling.
