High Value PG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Marcus Smart (vs PHO – $4,900): Needs 22.4 fantasy points. Smart is always a bit inconsistent because he doesn’t deliver in a single category all that well, but he has the potential to deliver in all categories. And he always makes plays on the defensive end. The minutes are there as a start and it feels like he’s going to take this challenge against Booker very personal. Given the minutes and matchup, he’s a solid bet on Wednesday. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling

Alec Burks (at CHA – $4,100): Needs 18.8 fantasy points. Burks had 26.25 fantasy points against the Pacers on Tuesday. He’s gotten solid minutes with the Cavaliers, but the production hasn’t always been there. Hopefully, Tuesday was the start of something for him as that was a tough matchup and this is an easy matchup for him. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a good ceiling and great matchup.

Delon Wright (vs IND – $4,300): Needs 19.7 fantasy points. The matchup is tough, but the Pacers are on a back-to-back. Really, this is about the circumstances. I don’t know who is going to play point guard for the Raptors on Wednesday. It could be you. But whoever draws the start, they are a good bet. If it ends up being VanVleet, look for him in this spot. If it’s Wright, he’ll get solid numbers and overdeliver at this salary. Don’t take this as “play Wright.” Take this as “grab Wright or VanVleet depending on who starts. I hope you’re paying attention. Diagnosis: Are you paying attention?
