DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 19, 2018
High Salary SG
Players costing over $6,250
James Harden (vs WAS – $11,400): Needs 52.1 fantasy points. Just assume Harden is going to be over 65 fantasy points from here on out. Nobody is stopping him and he’s collecting high scoring triple-doubles and making it look easy. Te Wizards defense isn’t good and they are on a back-to-back. And he’s even torching good defenses. Until his shot falls off or he doesn’t get away with double step backs, keep taking him. Diagnosis: He’s James Harden and he’s in the zone.
Devin Booker (at BOS – $8,700): Needs 39.8 fantasy points. Booker has looked very good since returning from injury. He followed up his 47.75 fantasy point effort against the Timberwolves with 54.25 fantasy points against the Knicks. And now he gets his favorite team, the Boston Celtics. He had 60.25 fantasy points against the Celtics on Nov. 8. This is just a matchup he thrives against. I worry Marcus Smart is going to make life tough on him, but I’m not doubting him right now. Diagnosis: This is his matchup. Expect him to deliver.
Derrick Rose (vs DET – $6,700): Needs 30.6 fantasy points. Rose had 33 fantasy points in 24 minutes against the Kings on Dec. 17. He’s back in the starting lineup and when he’s been starting, he’s been delivering. The matchup is a good one and Rose is at a good salary given his production. It’s a big night at guard so taking a lesser salary, but still high salary guy like Rose could be a steal. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
