High Value PG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Derrick Rose (vs DET – $6,200): Needs 26.2 fantasy points. Rose being under the salary feels like a gift right now. He’s starting and he’ll get big minutes as long as the game is competitive. And I expect this game to be competitive. Rose has been fantastic this season whether it’s been with his scoring or passing. He hasn’t fallen off yet and I don’t see him dropping off anytime soon. Diagnosis: High ceiling and a good matchup. Good salary as well.

Matthew Dellavedova (at CHA – $4,800): Needs 20.3 fantasy points. I really dislike the value point guards outside of Rose. This is a fantasy point guard league and it’s evident by just how many there are. Delly has been playing well since returning to Cleveland and can chip in with points and assists. The matchup isn’t bad as the Hornets aren’t great. Diagnosis: An option.

Darren Collison (at TOR – $4,600): Needs 19.5 fantasy points. Collison had 23.2 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Tuesday. He’s inconsistent, but Oladipo being back does take some pressure off him. And if the Raptors are hurting at the point guard position, that’ll make Collison’s life easier as well. He’s at a good salary given the minutes he plays. Diagnosis: A risk, but a good ceiling.
