High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Trevor Ariza (at HOU – $5,800): Needs 24 fantasy points. Ariza had 34.5 fantasy points in his Wizards debut against the Hawks. He remains at a good salary and, most importantly, this is a revenge game for him. We all know the saga of the Rockets not being able to afford Ariza. And now he gets an immediate chance to get back at them with his new team. I love a good revenge game and he’s a guy who does everything. Diagnosis: Wizards will be fired up and Ariza will come out strong.

Robert Covington (vs DET – $5,800): Needs 24 fantasy points. Covington had 30 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 17. More importantly, he played 36 minutes. Once he gets himself back into rhythm, his overall numbers will be back up to where they were prior to his injury. But as long as the minutes are there, he’ll deliver strong outings at this salary. Diagnosis: Good cost, reliable, could hit big if this is the game he’s back in form.

Solomon Hill (at MIL – $4,300): Needs 17.8 fantasy points. Hill has shown a high ceiling in recent games, but this is all about the circumstances. The Pelicans are shorthanded, which means Hill should occupy big minutes next to Davis and Holiday. He’s a solid scorer and rebounder and he should do enough o at least hit value given his low salary. Diagnosis: Love the circumstances. I expect him to deliver a strong outing due to the injuries.
