FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 19, 2018
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,667
Anthony Davis (at MIL – $12,700): Needs 54.3 fantasy points. First, it’s Anthony Davis. But more importantly, it’s Anthony Davis without much help in the frontcourt. There’s no Julius Randle and no Nikola Mirotic. That means more Anthony Davis. Either he delivers a huge game or all the extra attention is too much and the Bucks force other guys to beat them. I’m going with Davis stepping up because I’m not in the business of doubting Anthony Davis. Diagnosis: Very high ceiling and great circumstances.
Lauri Markkanen (vs BKN – $7,400): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. Markkanen has been over 40 fantasy points in his last two games. The Nets are good against the position, but they are on a back-to-back. I also trust Markkanen’s game. He picks up plenty of rebounds and gets his shots in the Bulls offense. With LaVine out, they need offense from someone and Markkanen is their best shot. Diagnosis: Tough matchup, but he has a good ceiling and is fairly reliable.
Larry Nance Jr (at CHA – $7,000): Needs 29.9 fantasy points. Nance Jr had 53.2 fantasy points against the Pacers on Tuesday. As I said prior to that game, someone has to get those points in the paint and rebounds for the Cavaliers and Nance Jr is the best option. And now he gets the Hornets, who are not good against the position. The Cavs are on a back-to-back, but my view on Nance Jr. has not changed. He should be feeling good after the game-winner as well. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
