High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jaren Jackson Jr (at POR – $6,400): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. Triple J was down to 10.8 fantasy points against the Warriors on Dec. 17. It happens. As I always say about rookies, they are inconsistent, but prone to having big games. Triple J has shown the ability to bounce back strong after poor performances and he had 31.2 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 12. Diagnosis: A risk because he’s a rookie. But I have a good feeling about him.

Thaddeus Young (at TOR – $6,400): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. Young had 39.3 fantasy points against the Cavaliers on Tuesday. People seem to be riding Sabonis for some reason, but I still like Young more because he gets more minutes and he’s a tad cheaper. Neither is a bad option right now and Sabonis does have the overall higher ceiling. If Ibaka and Siakam are out, the Pacers frontcourt will be in a great position. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson (at CHI – $5,600): Needs 23.9 fantasy points. Hollis-Jefferson had 29.9 fantasy points against the Lakers on Tuesday. He’s been solid during this win streak for the Nets, chipping in with scoring and rebounding. The Nets are on a back-to-back, but it’s the Bulls. Hollis-Jefferson should have no issues continuing this run against this matchup. Diagnosis: Good matchup and ceiling.
