Kansas City Chiefs – Damien Williams

The benefit of playing with a transcendent quarterback is that production can come out of nowhere from anyone. That’s not meant to dismiss the talent of Damien Williams, though. The veteran running back emerged suddenly with 123 total yards and two touchdowns last week after barely playing all season long.

Williams has long been a talented receiving back. Miami opted to go with cheaper options after he sought a longer deal, but had to settle for less after the market was thin. His decision to sign with the powerful Chiefs has paid off after Kareem Hunt’s release, though.

His career 8.5-yard per catch average makes him dangerous in the Chiefs’ screen game. Though not a threat on the ground, Williams doesn’t leave much meat on the bone once he can get beyond the line of scrimmage. He’s the Chiefs’ prime candidate to have a random massive contribution in the playoff.
