1. Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis Colts

Luck is in line to win NFL Comeback Player of the Year. He’s second in the league in touchdown passes (34) and tied for seventh in passing yards (3,951), with a 67.3 percent completion rate (11th in the league). His completion percentage and passer rating (98.4) are both better than Brady’s (65.9 percent and 97.6 respectively), and for what it’s worth he’s better than or close to NFC Pro Bowl quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and Jared Goff in both of those latter categories.

Missing an entire season last year surely put Luck out of sight, out of mind in some respects as coaches, players and fans voted for the Pro Bowl this year. But it’s still a great oversight he was not voted in, and one worth calling out.

Brady will inevitably bow out of the Pro Bowl again, though if he did participate questions about his playing future are going to be automatic. Luck will be the replacement when Brady takes himself out of the game, unless he suffers an injury that causes him to bow out himself or the Colts make an improbable run deep in the playoffs (to the Super Bowl?).

Luck Should Replace: Tom Brady
