High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,250

Tobias Harris (vs. DAL – $7,800): Needs 36.3 fantasy points. Harris was up to 58.85 fantasy points against the Blazers on Dec. 17. He’s been reliable all season and he’s shown a high ceiling. The matchup is a good one as the Mavericks aren’t good on the road. Harris should be in for a big scoring and rebounding game. Diagnosis: A lot to love about Harris. He’ll deliver.

Danilo Gallinari (vs DAL – $6,600): Needs 30.7 fantasy points. Gallinari has continued his reliable play. He doesn’t have quite the ceiling of Harris, but if you want to save money and still get value, Gallinari is the better option. The scoring is almost always there and he chips in on other areas. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Harrison Barnes (at LAC – $6,000): Needs 27.9 fantasy points. Barnes was up to 41.5 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Dec. 18. His value is still tied to his scoring, but he had his shot going against Denver. He had 44.75 fantasy points against the Clippers on Dec. 2. The hope is that he continues his hot shooting going into Thursday. Diagnosis: If you’re confident in his scoring, take him. Inconsistent with a good ceiling.

Derrick Jones Jr (vs HOU – $4,400): Needs 20.5 fantasy points. Jones has turned into a reliable fantasy player, although his minutes are slowing going down. With the injuries, the hope is that they creep back up. He’s almost coming up with a double-double and at some point, he’ll breakthrough. The Rockets will give him plenty of rebounding opportunities and this feels like a big spot for him. Diagnosis: I have a good feeling about him on Thursday. Rebounds should be there.
