High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Kyrie Irving (vs MIL – $8,700): Needs 40.3 fantasy points. Irving was up to 61.75 fantasy points against the Suns on Dec. 19. He’s still on a hot streak and shows no signs of slowing up. He had 50.25 fantasy points against the Bucks on Nov. 1. He’s getting his scoring and assist numbers at will right now. The matchup is tough, but I’m not doubting Irving right now. The game should be close, which projects well for his minutes. Diagnosis: High ceiling and very reliable right now.

Kemba Walker (vs DET – $8,600): Needs 39.8 fantasy points. Kemba bounced back from his 8.25 fantasy point performance against the Lakers with 50.25 fantasy points against the Cavaliers. He had 60 fantasy points against the Pistons on Dec. 12. The Lakers game was a clear off night and not anything bigger. He’s been great over recent weeks and he’ll get his points in this one. Diagnosis: High ceiling and proven matchup.

Damian Lillard (vs UTA – $8,500): Needs 39.4 fantasy points. It’s a high salary point guard kind of night. All the top options are not only playing very well right now, but they all have proven matchups. The Jazz might seem like a tough matchup, but not for Lillard. He averaged 50.8 fantasy points in four games against the Jazz last season. And that defense was a lot better than what Utah has shown this season. Lillard will get his points. Diagnosis: High ceiling, proven matchup, he’ll score and chip in on other categories.
