NEW ORLEANS, LA – APRIL 19: Jrue Holiday /

High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

Jrue Holiday (at LAL – $9,000): Needs 41.4 fantasy points. Holiday was up to 59.75 fantasy points against the Bucks on Dec. 19. With the Pelicans losing Mirotic and Randle to injury, Holiday has to step up. And he’s proven he can step up. There’s a lot of chatter around Davis and LA right now. Don’t think his teammates don’t hear it. They want to play well to show him why he should stay. Holiday has the biggest chip on his shoulder. Diagnosis: Love him with this matchup and circumstances.

Tim Hardaway Jr (vs ATL – $7,400): Needs 33.9 fantasy points. Hardaway Jr has gotten his points in the last two games and he’s chipping in with assists. I don’t expect the assists to continue, but it’s nice for his value. What’s better for his value is the Hawks. He’s averaging 49.6 fantasy points in two games against the Hawks this season. He relishes this opponent. Diagnosis: Great matchup and high ceiling.

Derrick Rose (at SA – $7,200): Needs 33.1 fantasy points. Rose continues to deliver and was up to 48.75 fantasy points against the Pistons on Dec. 19. He’s been great for most of the season, he’s starting, he gets big minutes, and he’s getting points and assists. The Spurs defense has looked better, but I’m not doubting Rose at this point. He’s been delivering in a big way. Diagnosis: High ceiling and good matchup, even though the Spurs have looked better.
