High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Justin Holiday (vs ORL – $5,300): Needs 24.3 fantasy points. Holiday has struggled in his last two games. But I’m not ready to give up to him. His minutes are still good and the opportunities are there. The matchup is good on Friday. The Bulls are a mess, but it feels like they are due a good game. And Holiday has 34.25 fantasy points against the Magic on Dec. 13. Diagnosis: Inconsistent at the moment, but a high ceiling. Love the matchup.

Joe Harris (vs IND – $4,700): Needs 21.6 fantasy points. Harris was down to 22 fantasy points against the Bulls on Dec. 19. I’m not too concerned. The Nets are rolling right now, and while the Pacers are a tough matchup, this feels like a big game for him. He’s at a good salary and role players have a tendency to step up at this moment. And Harris is a great role player. Diagnosis: A gut feeling pick, but still reliable at this salary.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (vs NO – $4,100): Needs 18.8 fantasy points. KCP had 16.75 fantasy points against the Nets after his big 44 fantasy point game against the Wizards. The Wizards was probably just a big night and now he’s settled back into his spot. But this matchup is proven and he’s logging good minutes. He averaged 33.5 fantasy points in three games against the Pelicans last season. It’s a different Lakers squad, but the Pelicans defense is a mess. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and high ceiling. Inconsistent, but I trust him in this spot.
