High Value PF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Jaren Jackson Jr (at SAC – $6,600): Needs 28.3 fantasy points. Triple J has been up-and-down in his last six games. He was up to 33 fantasy points against the Blazers, so if the trend holds, he’ll be down against the Kings. Expect him to break the trend. He’s averaging 41.8 fantasy points in two games against the Kings this season and had 51.2 fantasy points against them on Nov. 16. This might just be his matchup. Diagnosis: Proven matchup and a high ceiling.

Thaddeus Young (at BKN – $5,800): Needs 24.8 fantasy points. I love Young at this salary. He continues to log big minutes and is proven himself to be a reliable option. Sabonis continues to get all the attention, but Young is cheaper and can give you just as good production. Diagnosis: Reliable if nothing else, but I expect him to overdeliver on Friday.

Marvin Williams (vs DET – $5,600): Needs 24 fantasy points. Williams bounced back from a rough outing against the Lakers with 36 fantasy points against the Cavaliers. He’s been a big boom or bust player this season but has shown to be reliable against the Pistons. He had 28.5 fantasy points against them on Dec. 12. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
