DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 22, 2018
High Salary PG
Players costing over $6,250
Russell Westbrook (at UTA – $11,100): Needs 51.3 fantasy points. Westbrook was up to 72.75 fantasy points against the Kings on Dec. 19. The scoring isn’t what we’re used to, but everything else is there. And the steals are way up. The Jazz are good, but they are on a back-to-back. And Westbrook has never been lacking for numbers. He’s starting to looking healthy and that’s bad news for the rest of the league. Diagnosis: It’s a red-hot Westbrook. Numbers won’t be an issue.
Devin Booker (at WAS – $8,800): Needs 40.4 fantasy points. Booker has continued his solid play since coming back. I don’t know what to make of the Suns right now, but they are playing great and Booker is the catalyst for them. And I know what to make of the Wizards. They are not a good defensive basketball team. Booker will carve them up. Diagnosis: Reliable, high ceiling, Wizards.
Donovan Mitchell (vs OKC – $6,900): Needs 31.6 fantasy points. Mitchell was down to 21.25 fantasy points against the Blazers on Friday. He somehow managed to score just three points. His scoring hasn’t been there as of late, but the lid is going to come off the basket for him at some point. And he typically plays well against the Thunder. He’s at a good salary and is ready to explode. Diagnosis: High ceiling. Not playing well now, but he’s too good to be held down for long.
