High Value SG

Players costing $6,250 or under

Eric Gordon (vs SA – $6,100): Needs 28 fantasy points. Gordon was up to 32.75 fantasy points against the Heat. And now with CP3 out, he’s the second creator and shooter on the team. His salary has jumped way up as a result, but we know he can produce big in this spot. And again, I worry that Harden is gassed. Which means Gordon should get even more scoring opportunities. Diagnosis: Reliable, good ceiling and circumstances.

J.J. Barea (at GS – $4,700): Needs 21.6 fantasy points. Barea was up to 33.75 fantasy points against the Clippers on Dec. 20. More importantly, he was up to 27 minutes. He always produces even in limited minutes. And with DSJ out, his minutes should be good. He’s at a good enough salary to where he’s at least reliable given his usual production. Diagnosis: Reliable, good ceiling if DSJ is out once again.

Kelly Oubre Jr (at WAS – $4,600): Needs 21.1 fantasy points. It’s a revenge game for Kelly Oubre. And he’s someone who took the trade very personal. He’s inconsistent and can’t be counted on in any single area, but I’m a sucker for a revenge game and I expect Oubre to play with even more energy than he usually plays with. Diagnosis: Love him on Saturday. He’s at a good salary and he’ll be out for blood.
