High Value SF

Players costing $6,667 or under

Trevor Ariza (vs PHO – $6,000): Needs 24.9 fantasy points. I don’t know if this is quite a revenge game for Ariza because he only spent a couple of months with Phoenix and they paid him more than anyone else was going to pay him, but maybe that counts? More importantly, Ariza has played well for the Wizards and does a bit of everything. And the Suns have looked better, but they are still the Suns. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Derrick Jones Jr (vs MIL – $5,200): Needs 21.6 fantasy points. If the Bucks have tired legs on a back-to-back. Jones Jr is going to have a big game. He’s been excellent during this stretch for the Heat, coming up with plenty of points and rebounds. He just finds ways to contribute and until he stops contributing, he remains at a good salary given his usual production. Diagnosis: Red hot and a decent enough matchup.

Kelly Oubre Jr (at WAS – $4,800): Needs 20 fantasy points. While Ariza may not qualify for a revenge game, Oubre Jr certainly does. And he’s clearly not happy with the trade out of Washington. He always plays with energy, but I expect him to have even more energy in this game. He’s going to be out for blood against the Wizards and I see him contributing in a big way. This just feels like a monster game for him. Diagnosis: Good salary makes him less of a risk, but I have a great feeling about him given the revenge factor and his personality.

Quick Hits

OG Anunoby ($3,700): If he starts, he’s a nice low-cost option with a high ceiling.
