Newcastle face Fulham at St. James’ Park on Saturday, Dec. 22. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

Newcastle have started to distance themselves from the bottom of the Premier League table. On Saturday, Newcastle host Fulham at St. James’ Park. The Cottagers are hoping to go on a similar run to get out of the basement. No team has fewer points this season than Fulham, who have picked up only nine points in their first 17 games.

Newcastle defeated Huddersfield 1-0 last weekend to move four points clear of the relegation zone. Jose Salomon Rondon scored the winner against Huddersfield and has four goals in his last six games. The Magpies have picked up 13 points in their last seven games and will try to build on their recent successes to push further into the middle of the table.

Fulham lost 2-0 to West Ham last weekend and have lost three of their last four games. The Cottagers have picked up only four points in the five games under Claudio Ranieri. Aleksandar Mitrovic was a transfer bust with Newcastle before being loaned to Fulham last season and breaking out. Mitrovic has scored seven goals this season, forming a strong partnership with Andre Schurrle. Fulham are capable of going forward but cannot defend. The Cottagers have allowed 42 goals this season. If Fulham have any hope of staying up, Ranieri will have to fix their defensive flaws.
