High Salary PG

Players costing over $6,250

Kyrie Irving (vs CHA – $9,000): Needs 41.5 fantasy points. Kyrie was down to 36.75 fantasy points against the Bucks on Dec. 21. I’m not too worried as the matchup is great on Sunday and Kyrie has been good for the Celtics, even if they’ve struggled as a team. He had 54.75 fantasy points against the Hornets on Nov. 19. I expect him to be just as good on Sunday. Diagnosis: Great matchup and a high ceiling.

De’Aaron Fox (vs NO – $7,700): Needs 35.5 fantasy points. Fox had 40 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Dec. 21. Aside from that weird game where the starters were taken off the court after five minutes, he’s been over 40 fantasy points in four of his last five. And now he gets the Pelicans and their defense. This should be easy money for Fox. Diagnosis: Love him and I expect him to deliver in a big way with this matchup.

Steph Curry (vs LAC – $9,700): Needs 44.4 fantasy points. Curry had 41.25 fantasy points against the Mavericks on Saturday. He’s typically a reliable option and he always has a high ceiling given his shooting. Both teams are on a back-to-back and the Clippers can be a tough matchup, but it’s never a bad idea to go with Curry. And he typically dominates the Clippers. He averaged 65.1 fantasy points in three games against them this season. Diagnosis: Reliable with a very high ceiling.
