High Value SG

Players costing $6,667 or under

Justin Holiday (at CLE – $5,600): Needs 23.5 fantasy points. Holiday was up to 29.5 fantasy points against the Magic on Dec. 21. The minutes are still there for him, which is a good sign. And he can do a bit of everything. The matchup is good as it’s the Cavaliers. His scoring hasn’t quite been there, but the lid will come off the basket at some point. The Cavaliers will probably help him break the seal given their defense. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling if his shot starts to fall.

Jordan Clarkson (vs CHI – $5,400): Needs 22.7 fantasy points. Clarkson has been hot for the Cavaliers and not he gets to go up against the Bulls. He’s scoring the basketball well and doing a bit of everything else, which has boosted his value. The scoring should be there without a problem given the matchup. And Clarkson always has a green light to shoot. Diagnosis: Great matchup, high ceiling.

Lou Williams (at GS – $5,200): Needs 21.8 fantasy points. Williams had just 11.5 fantasy points against the Nuggets on Saturday, but played only 17 minutes. They didn’t need him in the blowout, but he’ll be needed against the Warriors on Sunday. He’s a high ceiling guy and if he gets the minutes he should get, the scoring and playmaking will be there for him against a weak Warriors bench. Diagnosis: High ceiling and raises his game in these matchups.
