FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 23, 2018
High Value PF
Players costing $6,667 or under
Marvin Williams (at BOS – $5,600): Needs 23.9 fantasy points. Williams was up to 41.2 fantasy points against the Pistons on Dec. 21. He’s shooting the ball very well and chipping in with rebounds. The Celtics are in a funk right now and the Hornets play well enough to where they should be able to punish Boston if they aren’t able to pull themselves out of the funk. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
Jaren Jackson Jr (at LAL – $6,600): Needs 28.2 fantasy points. Triple J has been over 30 fantasy points in three of his four games. I’d like to see him get more minutes, but maybe they’ll be up in this game as the pressure has increased for him to get those minutes. He also strikes me as the type of guy who will raise his game under the bright lights of LA. He plays a well-rounded game and had 24.6 fantasy points against the Lakers on Dec. 8. Not great, but more minutes will lead to better production. Diagnosis: A gut feeling. Reliable and if his minutes increase, he’ll hit big.
Richaun Holmes (at BKN – $4,700): Needs 20.1 fantasy points. As previously mentioned, the Suns are gassed. I don’t know how many minutes their top guys are going to play. But I’m going to assume that this eminutes will be down. Which means minutes for guys like Holmes will be up. He’s at a good salary and more minutes will mean more production. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
