Recap: Off their first home loss of the season, a 29-28 Thursday night setback to the Chargers, Andy Reid’s talented squad had a little extra time to get ready for a prime time clash with the Seahawks in the Pacific Northwest. And once again, the Kansas City defense had few answers for an opposing offense as Russell Wilson and company rolled up 464 yards and 38 points. Bob Sutton’s unit was gashed for 210 yards on the ground. But the Chiefs did score at least 26 points for the 15th time in as many games this season and once again, it wasn’t enough. In their four losses this season, Reid’s club has totaled an astonishing 150 points.

Next Week: The Chiefs put a wrap on the 2018 regular season with a home date versus the Raiders. In Week 13, Reid’s team came away with a 40-33 victory at Oakland. It raised the club’s record over the Raiders to 9-2 dating back to 2013. And the Chiefs have won the last five meetings between the teams at Arrowhead Stadium.

Playoff hopes: Even with the back-to-back losses to the Chargers and Seahawks, Kansas City clinches the AFC West and the No. 1 seed in the conference with a victory over the visiting Raiders in Week 17. But winning home playoff games has been an issue for this franchise. The Chiefs’ defense must turn things around soon.
