Players costing $6,250 or under

Jusuf Nurkic (at UTA – $6,100): Needs 28.8 fantasy points. Nurkic has been over 35 fantasy points in four of his last five games. That includes a 35.5 fantasy point effort against the Jazz on Dec. 21. He’s at a nice Christmas salary and should easily deliver over value. He figures to play solid enough minutes given the matchup against Gobert. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Ivica Zubac (at GS – $4,400): Needs 20.8 fantasy points. Zubac has been over 30 fantasy points in his last two games. If Chandler and McGee are still out, Zubac will start and play big minutes once again. The matchup is tough and the Warriors may look to embarrass the entire Lakers squad, but someone has to play center for the Lakers Diagnosis: High ceiling and good circumstances. But I worry that the moment will be too big for him.

Brook Lopez (at NY – $4,300): Needs 20.3 fantasy points. Lopez was back up to 25.5 fantasy points against the Heat on Dec. 22. The minutes and shots are typically there for him and he’s at a great salary. More important, he’s against the Knicks. He had 31.75 fantasy points against the Knicks on Dec. 1. He should have no issue getting points while chippingwith wit rebounds in this game. Diagnosis: Reliable, good ceiling, and Knicks.
