Players costing over $6,250

Giannis Antetokounmpo (at NY – $10,700): Needs 49.6 fantasy points. Antetokounmpo was down to 31.75 fantasy points against the Heat. That won’t happen again. There is no way he’ll be held to nine points, especially against the Knicks. If anything, it works in your favor because he will look to bounce back in a big way and make a statement on Christmas. Diagnosis: Great matchup and he’s Giannis. Expect a monster game given the matchup and circumstances.

LeBron James (at GS – $10,100): Needs 46.8 fantasy points. LeBron will need a huge game against the Warriors. I don’t know if I trust the other Lakers to step up in this matchup. I know LeBron will step up in a big way. He’s been great during this recent stretch and he’s still LeBron. The matchup is tough, especially with the way Durant typically plays against him, but he’s still LeBron. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling. But will need help to hit that ceiling.

Paul George (at HOU – $9,700): Needs 45 fantasy points. As always, you know what you’re getting with George. He’s going to get you value at the very least. And if his shot continues to stay hot, he’ll be well over that value. Rebounds, assists, and defense aren’t an issue for him. He had 56.75 fantasy points against the Rockets on Nov. 8, although Westbrook didn’t play in that game. Westbrook makes his job easier and he’ll deliver. Diagnosis: Very reliable and a high ceiling. Could give you as much as the top SFs on a much better salary.
