High Value SF

Players costing $6,250 or under

Jayson Tatum (vs PHI – $6,000): Needs 27.8 fantasy points. Tatum was down to 24 fantasy points against the Hornets, but he wasn’t really needed in that game. Prior to that, he had played well, going over 30 fantasy points in six straight games. The Celtics will need his scoring in this game and I expect him to step up. He had 40.75 fantasy points against the Sixers on opening night, although dealing with Butler will make things tougher on him. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Kevin Knox (vs MIL – $5,600): Needs 26 fantasy points. Knox has been very good during this recent stretch and he had 42.5 fantasy points against the Bucks on Dec. 1. The minutes are there for him and he strikes me as the type of player who is going to step up in these big games. He certainly won’t lack for minutes or opportunities, but the matchup is tough and the Bucks are going to be looking to make a statement. Diagnosis: High ceiling, but a slight risk.

P.J. Tucker (vs OKC – $4,300): Needs 19.9 fantasy points. Tucker has continued to play a reliable game, going over 26 fantasy points in three straight. Even when he’s not shooting too well, he still finds ways to contribute. Right now, he’s doing it with his rebounding. He never lacks for minutes and will have to play a big role in this game given OKC’s talent. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.
