DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 25, 2018
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,250
Kevin Durant (vs LAL – $9,300): Needs 43.1 fantasy points. Durant was up to 68 fantasy points against the Clippers on Dec. 23. As always with Durant, he’s reliable with a high ceiling. And given the opponent, you should expect him to hit that ceiling. He relishes going up against LeBron and because LeBron is immune to defense in the regular season, Durant typically torches him. The points will be there and he’ll chip in in other categories. Diagnosis: I always like Durant in these one-on-one matchups against other top small forwards.
Kyle Kuzma (at GS – $6,400): Needs 29.7 fantasy points. Kuzma was down to 27 fantasy points against the Grizzlies on Dec. 23 and there are signs that he is slipping. But the minutes and opportunities are still there and he’ll be the guy who needs to step up next to LeBron on Christmas. I’m not entirely sure he’ll be able to do it, but if he does, he’ll hit fairly big. Diagnosis: A risk, but a high ceiling.
Draymond Green (vs LAL – $6,300): Needs 29.6 fantasy points. Green has looked more like himself in the last two games, coming up with 39 fantasy points against the Mavericks and 40 fantasy points against the Clippers. And he typically raises his play in these big games. There’s nothing Draymond loves more than punking LeBron and his team on a national stage. He’s not reliable in a single category, but he can do a bit of everything. Diagnosis: Fairly reliable and a good ceiling. Largely based on the matchup.
