High Value C

Players costing $6,667 or under

Al Horford (vs PHI – $6,700): Needs 29.9 fantasy points. Horford is over the salary line, but I’ll cheat once again. He’s been up-and-down in recent contests. He was slightly down against the Hornets, but he played just 19 minutes in that game on Dec. 23. Minutes should not be an issue for him against the Sixers. He does well against Embiid and usually boosts his defensive numbers as a result. He’s always good for solid offensive numbers, even if he’s not reliable in a single category. Diagnosis: Reliable.

Enes Kanter (vs MIL – $6,200): Needs 27.7 fantasy points. Kanter has been down in recent contests, which means his minutes have been down. This isn’t typically a great matchup for him and with his minutes not being guaranteed right now, he’s tough to trust. The ceiling is high because he can put up big scoring and rebounding numbers. But there are some red flags going into this game. Diagnosis: High ceiling as long as the minutes are there.

Brook Lopez (at NY – $5,300): Needs 23.7 fantasy points. Lopez had 29.3 fantasy points against the Heat on Dec. 22. It was a nice return to form after a couple of rough games. The minute care typically there for Lopez, as are the shots. Most importantly, the matchup is there for him. He’s been over 30 fantasy points in both games against the Knicks this season. He should get his points and then some in this game. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup, good ceiling.
