10. player. 44. . Defensive Tackle. Mississippi State. Jeffery Simmons

The Atlanta Falcons put another good game together this past Sunday, but their chances of making the playoffs went out the window a long time ago. They have proven to be one of the more disappointing stories of the 2018 NFL season, as they have the talent on both sides of the ball to win games, but have not been able to do that consistently.

On the offensive side of the ball, the Falcons are loaded, as they have a Pro Bowl quarterback, one of the best wide receivers in the game, and good depth at running back. With  their first round pick next April, they should focus on the defensive side of the ball, bringing in a quality defensive tackle with the tenth overall pick.

One of the better defensive tackles in this draft class is Jeffery Simmons, who is an incredible run-stuffer from Mississippi State. Simmons is a guy who the Falcons could plug right into the middle of their defensive line in year one, giving them stability across a line that has some serious talent on the edges.

The odds are, the Falcons will be back to being a playoff team again next season, as the roster is just too talented to miss out in consecutive seasons. They are going to make some good moves this offseason, and based on their currently roster, they should be in the mix for an NFC South crown as early as next year.
