DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 26, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,250 or under
Tyler Johnson (vs TOR – $5,600): Needs 25.6 fantasy points. Johnson had 31.25 fantasy points against the Magic on Dec. 23. As long as he starts, he’s a good bet. If he’s coming off the bench, his minutes aren’t guaranteed. But if he’s in the starting lineup, he’ll play a big role. The matchup is tough, but he’s a well-rounded player who can step up in these games. Diagnosis: Reliable, tough matchup, but good minutes as a starter.
Tyus Jones (at CHI – $4,700): Needs 21.6 fantasy points. Jones had just 21.25 fantasy points against the Thunder on Dec. 23 despite drawing the start. The matchup was tough and Andrew Wiggins delivered a big game, which history tells us won’t always happen. As long as Jones is the starter once again, he remains at a good salary based on his minutes and usual production. The matchup is also much easier. Diagnosis: Reliable, good matchup and ceiling.
Monte Morris (at SA – $4,600): Needs 21.1 fantasy points. Morris continues to be a reliable option who has shown a high ceiling. I still don’t know what to make of the Spurs, but when they’re been rested, they’ve been very good. But the Nuggets are a good team as well and they are also rested. Morris is the kind of guy who is going to step up coming off the bench and make an impact in this game with his scoring and playmaking. Diagnosis: Love him on Wednesday. Expecting a strong outing.
