NFL quarterback rankings, Week 17: Russell Wilson shines
Phil Simms Division
12. Baker Mayfield (LW: 13)
Mayfield is showing that he’s going to put an end to the misery in Cleveland. The Browns have been lost in the wilderness forever, but finally, after all the Ken Dorseys and Charlie Fryes of the world, Mayfield is providing the stability long wished for.
11. Ben Roethlisberger (LW: 11)
Roethlisberger might win the passing title, but his poor decisions drag down this ranking. The Steelers need help to get into the playoffs, and while not all o that is on Big Ben, he wears some of the blame. It’s been a rough December near the three rivers.
10. Jared Goff (LW: 10)
Goff is trying to make another push in the playoffs after having a tough month. The Rams hope to clinch a first-round bye on Sunday against the 49ers, who have given them problems at times during the Kyle Shanahan regime.
9. Matt Ryan (LW: 9)
Ryan is not getting much attention this year, and understandably so. Atlanta is having a miserable year, and the Falcons have been playing for draft positioning since Thanksgiving. Still, throwing for 33 touchdowns and only six interceptions while averaging 8.06 yards per attempt is impressive.
