High Salary SG

Players costing over $6,250

Buddy Hield (vs LAL – $6,900): Needs 31.5 fantasy points. Hield’s shot was finally off on Wednesday, but I’m not concerned. He’s been too good this season to think it was anything more than an off night. The Kings are back at home and they get a banged up Lakers squad. Trust Hield to bounce back in this one. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling. He’ll have a bounce-back performance.

Donovan Mitchell (vs PHI – $6,700): Needs 30.6 fantasy points. Mitchell had 26.5 fantasy points on Christmas. His scoring numbers have dipped and he’s not quite doing enough in other areas to make up that value. He’s a high ceiling player when his shot is falling, but these struggles have been there all season, which is a concern. Jimmy Butler will probably make like tough on him. Diagnosis: Inconsistent, but a high ceiling.

Eric Bledsoe (vs NY – $6,500): Needs 29.7 fantasy points. Bledsoe had 27 fantasy points in the Christmas game against the Knicks. It’s the Knicks, so there’s always a chance at a big game and he typically plays well against them. His shot wasn’t falling, but he made up value in other areas. I worry about a blowout in this game, but Bledsoe is at a good enough salary to where he should at least get you value. Diagnosis: Reliable.
