DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 27, 2018
High Value SF
Players costing $6,250 or under
Jayson Tatum (at HOU – $6,200): Needs 28.7 fantasy points. Tatum has been hot for the Celtics and had 46.5 fantasy points against the Sixers on Christmas. Once again, as long as Harden plays, this should be another big game for Tatum. He’s been getting it done with his scoring and rebounds right now and he typically chips in with defense. Unless this turns into a route or the Celtics have a letdown due to Harden not playing, Tatum should be in for another strong game. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling.
Kevin Knox (at MIL – $5,900): Needs 27.4 fantasy points. Knox had 32 fantasy points against the Bucks on Christmas. He’s been playing very well during this stretch and while I still worry about him having a rough game because he’s a rookie, I’ll continue to trust him until I see an actual sign of him slipping. The opportunities are there and he certainly doesn’t look afraid. Diagnosis: Good ceiling, but I still worry about rookie inconsistency.
P.J. Tucker (vs BOS – $4,500): Needs 20.9 fantasy points. Tucker has continued his consistent play. But if Harden is out of the lineup, I do worry about him. He needs that star to take pressure off of him and Eric Gordon is not it. Minutes are never an issue for Tucker and he gets good shots while chipping in with rebounds. He’ll see more opportunities if Harden doesn’t play, but he’s also a bit more limited as he’ll get more attention. Diagnosis: Risky, but reliable if Harden plays.
