FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 27, 2018
High Value PG
Players costing $6,667 or under
Emmanuel Mudiay (at MIL – $5,800): Needs 25.7 fantasy points. Mudiay had 21.1 fantasy points in the Christmas game against the Bucks. His ceiling remains high because he gets plenty of minutes and opportunities in the Knicks offense. But he’s not exactly the most reliable player out there. And this is a tough matchup given the Bucks usual defense and their play at home. His lesser salary helps to an extent and he should be reliable enough to at least hit value. Diagnosis: Reliable.
Lonzo Ball (at SAC – $6,000): Needs 25.3 fantasy points. Lonzo has had a rough couple of outings and his salary has dropped in a big way. I honestly don’t know what to make of the Lakers without LeBron. It should mean more opportunities for Lonzo, but it also drastically changes how they are going to play. The ceiling is still high for Lonzo because he can do a bit of everything. And with Rondo out as well, Lonzo will log big minutes. Diagnosis: High ceiling and great circumstances with no Rondo or LeBron.
T.J. McConnell (at UTA – $4,200): Needs 17.7 fantasy points. McConnell had 24.7 fantasy points against the Celtics on Christmas. He plays solid minutes in the Sixers lineup and it’s almost like they forget they have him at times. His ability to run the offense will be needed in this game as the Jazz play a tough brand of defense. McConnell is at a good salary and should do enough to at least get you value.
