High Salary SF

Players costing over $6,667

Giannis Antetokounmpo (vs NY – $12,000): Needs 50 fantasy points. Giannis had 67.3 fantasy points against the Knicks on Christmas. You know what you’re getting from Giannis on most nights. He’s typically going to get you around 60 fantasy points and there’s always the possibility he gets more. This game feels like a blowout with the Bucks being at home and the Knicks not being very good. Giannis will deliver in limited minutes, but his ceiling might be limited. Diagnosis: Always reliable. But I worry about the blowout.

Kevin Durant (vs POR – $10,500): Needs 43.7 fantasy points. Even when the Warriors are struggling, you know what you’re getting from Durant. He’s reliable to put up numbers in all categories and his scoring seems to come easier than it does for Curry and Thompson. And if the Warriors are rolling, Durant’s ceiling goes up. The Warriors should roll, at least offensively, in this game. And Durant will get his usual numbers. Diagnosis: Reliable with a good ceiling.

Brandon Ingram (at SAC – $6,400): Needs 26.7 fantasy points. I don’t know what to make of Ingram. He had 17.4 fantasy points in 24 minutes against the Warriors on Christmas. He should get more minutes with LeBron out of the lineup, but I also think the Lakers are a better team with Ingram off the floor. Soooooo, I just have no clue what to expect from him. He has a high ceiling, but also a good chance he bottoms out in a big way. Diagnosis: High risk, but a high reward.
