FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 27, 2018
High Salary PF
Players costing over $6,667
Draymond Green (vs POR – $7,100): Needs 30.6 fantasy points. I don’t know what to make of Draymond’s game right now. He’s never been a big scorer, but now he’s in his own head. And he needs other players to play well to get his assist numbers. Typically, that’s not an issue. But teams have figured out that they don’t have to guard Draymond on offense. And this salary feels a bit high for what he’s giving you right now. Of course, watching post a triple-double in this game. Diagnosis: A risk, but a high ceiling. It’s always foolish to think the Warriors are broken.
Jayson Tatum (at HOU – $7,000): Needs 30.2 fantasy points. As long as the minutes are there, Tatum is going to have a big game. As mentioned previously, I worry that the Celtics have a letdown or that this turns into a blowout, which could limit how Tatum plays. A letdown would be better than a blowout as at least the minutes will be there. He’s at a good enough salary to where he should at least get you value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a very high ceiling.
Kyle Kuzma (at SAC – $6,700): Needs 28.9 fantasy points. Kuzma is the guy who will have to step up with LeBron out. Can he do it? I’m honestly not sure. He benefits from playing with LeBron because playing next to LeBron means easier opportunities for a scorer like Kuzma. Without LeBron commanding his usual attention, Kuzma might struggle. He’s at a good salary and his ceiling remains high. He should do enough to at least hit value. Diagnosis: Reliable with a high ceiling if he proves he can step up. I think he can.
