FanDuel NFL: Best lineup for Week 17
By Nick Villano
Tight End Option: George Kittle $6,700
George Kittle has been one of the best tight ends in the game this year. This is in a year where there aren’t very many options at the tight end position in fantasy. Kyle Rudolph has been a bust. Rob Gronkowski seems very old all of a sudden.
Jimmy Graham signed a big contract to play with Aaron Rodgers, but did not play well.
Kittle is a very high upside play here. He could score as much as 30 points this week, while having the floor of at least decent production. The 49ers are playing the Los Angeles Rams, who have been up and down during December.
If the 49ers are going to compete in this matchup, it will be thanks to Kittle and a big game.
The 49ers aren’t playing for the offseason just yet. Nick Mullens has played well enough, and the coaching staff is trying to win even if it hurts their draft position. Kittle could have a big game here to end his season on a great note.
Back Up Tight End Option: Jared Cook $6,000
Jared Cook might be the biggest surprise of the NFL season. He’s been amazing all season for the Raiders, probably the only player on that roster that can say that.
The reason that Cook is the backup option here is because he’s been dealing with a rib injury, and it may be part of the reason why he’s put two bad performances in a row. However, he has been practicing this week. That means he will likely play.
This is also against the Kansas City Chiefs. They allow a lot of yards through the air. The Raiders don’t have a lot of options to pass to, so Derek Carr will force some balls Cook’s way. Those passes could come his way in the end zone, and he could get a few scores.
