DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup – December 29, 2018
High Value C
Players costing $6,250 or under
Noah Vonleh (at UTA – $6,200): Needs 29 fantasy points. Vonleh continues to climb. He was up to 40.75 fantasy points against the Bucks on Dec. 27. As always with him, the minutes are there and he does a bit of everything. The matchup is very tough as the Jazz are strong against opposing frontcourt players, but Vonleh should not be doubted right now, even at this salary. Diagnosis: Red hot and a high ceiling.
Cody Zeller (at WAS – $4,300): Needs 20.2 fantasy points. Zeller had been struggling, but he was up to 44.5 fantasy points against the Nets on Friday. He’s been fairly reliable all season and now he gets the Wizards. Even if he may not reach his ceiling, the matchup is too good to pass up on. He’ll do enough with his scoring and rebounding to get you value and then some. Diagnosis: Pound the Wizards. Reliable with a good ceiling.
Thomas Bryant (vs CHA – $3,900): Needs 18.2 fantasy points. Bryant had 33 fantasy points against the Bulls on Friday. He’s been inconsistent, but the minutes are there for him due to the frontcourt issues in Washington. And the Hornets are a good matchup. He’s a double-double threat and we’ve seen him post big scoring game. He’s also at a low enough salary to where he won’t hurt you much. Diagnosis: Reliable at this salary with a good ceiling and good matchup.
